We're just thinking of the health of the industry. Nintendo games steal sales from third party games when they compete on the same platform, so if Nintendo enter the arena where third parties actually manage to sell copies of their games, we'd see the same effect with nowhere for the third parties to go. Activision, EA, Ubisoft and all the others would be out of business in a matter of weeks if forced to compete with Nintendo. Why would you want that to happen?
