Why are some Nintendo fans so opposed to going third party?

Because they want to stay in their community nothing more.

Most of Wii U games do nothing that PS4 games cant but PS4 games do many things Wii U games cant.

So Wii U games would be better on PS4.

Nintendo should go 3rd party on home consoles

What like having lower reviewed games than the Wii U? or costing 600 USD+ total for a second screen? Yeah man, PS4 is pretty good with those so far. Knack is totally doing what SM3DW can't do by having a 55 Meta score, I'll tell you that much. At leasr Resogun is decent, the PS4 launch lineup would have been pretty shitty if not for Resogun, and it's not even that graphically intensive lol.
