Because their games are specifically tailored to be on their own consoles. They couldn't make the experiences they have on other company's hardware. Hardware and software are made in tandem, perfectly using each other's features to the fullest. If the software would end up on other consoles, there'd be no more innovation. Which leads to stagnation, which leads to decline and ends in irrelevance.
