Obama is about as progressive as a piece of toast. He's progressive when compared to the likes of Mitt Romney, but only in social policy.

Also, anyone else think it's interesting that the people complaining generally fall on the side of the right?

War on coal, improved efficiency standards for cars, subsidization of green technologies, attempted immigration reform, trillion dollar deficits, attempted gun control, dramatically increased regulation of health care.

He's about as Big Government you could get. Anybody who says otherwise is in denial, probably because they, too, love a bit of Government in their lives and are appalled at the results under Obama.

"If economic globalisation is inevitable, it should primarily serve humanity rather than the interests of trans-national corporations." - Implication that both can't benefit at the same time - or, one's benefit must be reduced in order to increase the benefit of others. Voted disagree, not because I think it should benefit MNCs more, but because I disagree with the premise of the question.

"Because corporations cannot be trusted to voluntarily protect the environment, they require regulation." - While I do agree that corporations cannot be trued to protect the environment, I do not think that regulation helps, it only increases the problem. Corporations are a legal fiction created by Government. Corporations get super-rich thanks to Government. Corporations buy off the elections into Government. Corporations and Government are best friends, they are two heads of the same beast. The corporations write the regulation. Voting disagree.

"Abortion, when the woman's life is not threatened, should always be illegal." - Hang on, isn't this about my personal social values? If so, why is it asking me whether something should be illegal? I personally do not support abortion. I would never force a woman to have an abortion, and I'd always offer advice on the pro-life side of the camp. Doesn't mean I want it illegal, though. I try to live a moral life by myself, it is not my job to police what other people do. Voting disagree.

"The death penalty should be an option for the most serious crimes." - I do not trust the state with this power. However, I do think it is morally justified for the heirs of a victim to a murder to demand the death of the culprit, if proven. Voting agree.
