Dont hold your breath.  Thats not a confirmation of anything.

Its against everything kaz wants and i seem to remember they said similar things for years about cross game chat on the ps3...

Erm, that's a confirmation of it coming, not sure how you interpret it as otherwise, unless you're a MS fanboy.

You obviously didn't even read the story, so I'll summarize it here for you. Yoshida is basically saying they concentrate on the gaming portion of the system and get it out first. Then they look into the other areas such as media and streaming support etc. He got caught by surprise on the user feedback and now will be working closely with the developers to get it out ASAP.
