32. Super Mario Bros Deluxe (last year 42), first impression 8, replay 8, technical 8.5
Pros: The game that started it all, of course, arcade-platforming at its most pure, simple and catchy. Bonus tasks helped expand the value of this classic, like Luigi's Lost Levels, Boo Races, Score Attack, hidden Yoshi eggs and secret Red Coins.
Cons: Linearity compared to other 2D Marios. Nintendo Hard difficulty in places can be a bit of a downside too.
