I'm surprised so many people are choosing Vista over Windows M.E.
Either short memories, they never tried Windows M.E. or just following the crowd in this regard. :P

Windows Vista actually ended up being a solid OS, not *really* that much different from Windows 7 in allot of aspects.
The problem with Vista was that upon launch device manufacturers had such poor drivers it brought the entire new ecosystem down.
For instance nVidia was responsible for 30% or more of Vista's blue screens.
That's compounded by the fact allot of printers wouldn't work out of the box thanks to the new driver model which meant throwing the old printer out and getting a new one or waiting months in the hope for an update.

And lastly, Vista loves Ram. - OEM's were releasing PC's with Vista with an anemic 512Mb of memory and slow 5400rpm Hard Drives, which meant the new shiny PC you just bought ran at a crawl, that doesn't exactly leave a good taste in anyone's mouth.
Try running Windows 7 or 8 with a 5400rpm Hard Drive and 512Mb of Ram, it *still* wouldn't be an enjoyable experience, but alas Vista got branded as slow and bloated because of it.

Windows M.E. was on an entirely different level.
The OS was horrible, bug ridden and slow regardless of the hardware and drivers you used.
Heck it would even blue-screen if you ejected a CD/DVD in the middle of installing something.
It's problems like those that were never fixed and still exist today, Vista is Gold plated in comparison.

Have you saw my "the godd/the bad/the trash"??? For me who whom not think of M.E. as the worst OS that MS have the courage to ship is crazy... would preffer to use DOS =] (and I hated Vista by the way).
