I don't think too much of this game, but then again even God of War had humble beginnings.

I can appreciate what Crytek tried to do with Ryse. It's very realistic. There's nothing over the top. Everything is nice and fluid and the moves make sense and the story and the atmosphere is just very believable.
The one glaring problem I see though is how unrealistic it is to beat enemies. There are far too many slashes and stabs involved in defeating one. It makes me wonder why they didn't just add more enemies with lower health bars. The resilience of the enemies reminds me of games like devil may cry or bayonetta etc. A kill should be 3-5 slashes and an execution. I'm seeing enemies take 15+. Maybe it's just a question of personal taste, but it just feels like it hurts the game.
