People who don't have the internet are not the target market. Guess what? people who liv ein countries without a cell network aren't the target market for an iPhone. People who live in areas without electricity aren't the target market for any electronics. And people who live in countries with poor internet aren't the target market for the X1. Also, saying there is "not one single advantage" is hyperbole. You clearly don't know what MS was planning if you say that. The 24 hour checkin was to allow sharing. Obviously you can't share games offline, or everyone can share a game, others log offline.... free game. The family sharin g and cloud stored games allowed those of us who are connected 24/7 anyway to actually move into the 21st century as far as game storage/sharing. I think MS realized all the countries with less infrastructure were going with Sony products anyway, why target them? The 360's prime advantages over the PS3 were always it's online and multiplayer capabilities, they were planning to widen the gap once again. |
How hard would it be to limit the 24 hour check to game sharers? Obviously those who dont go online cant game share anyway.
Its not rocket science.
PS+ does that already. get a 1 month trial and download all the games. If you want to stay offline then fine, carry on playing them for a month, but they will still expire after that. This doesnt mean the whole system will stop working, you will still be able to use it and play your physical games offline.
why couldnt MS with its great multiplayer capabilities think of something that simple?
