I believe the point of this thread is to try and say something along the lines of:

"Hey look, people use their consoles with the internet connected. That means having a 24 hour internet check-in DRM policy was no big deal."

 

No offense to anyone here, but drawing that sort of conclusion from this is absolutely asanine.


maybe those people are not on this site because they dont have internet?

I stood against it but not because I dont have internet, but because not everyone in the world has.

Also lets say you temporarily lost your internet connection for a few days, then youre stuck with a box that cant do anything after 24 hours....a box for which you paid £350-£430, and £50 for the games (£60 if you bought them off PSN or XBL). It reminds you that no matter how much you spend, you dont own it which would be stupid.

Anyway, theres not one single advantage to it for the consumer so why would anyone support it unless they work for MS?
