Yeah, any developer that takes the time to figure out how to properly utilize those should be releasing much better looking Xbox One versions of multiplatform games. It sounds like CD Projekt may be one of those developers. I doubt that Witcher 3 will utilize DX11.2 on the Xbox One, simply because the game was probably well into development by the time Microsoft finalized 11.2, but hopefully Cyberpunk 2077 will utilize 11.2 on the Xbox One and PC.

 

What if the Xbox One games get an DX 11.2 update patch when DX 11.2 becomes available?


They are probably already there in the X1 SDK since console DX releases are not the same. The problem with the X1 right now is that they had to change their original infrastructure too much from the service side so they had to rework the OS too much but that's pretty much it and that's really a shame since I think their original plan would have worked out better for the business and gamers and could have pushed sales the same way Steam is able to which is sadly not going to happen this gen now, but as far as making games go, it's most likely just as good as the 360 if not better.
