34. New Super Mario Bros Wii (20 last year), first impression 8, replay 7.5, technical 8.
Pros: 2D Mario continues to rock on consoles, with super-fine-tuned platforming, memorable new items like the propeller cap and the penguin suit, and possibly the best 2D final Bowser fight in the franchise.
Cons: While many parts are memorable, the stages are not and the layout is fairly linear compared to 2D Marios that scored higher up.
