Now I'm not wishing any hardware failure to any parties but if I had to chose... I'd take a failing external psu or BR drive over the RRoD or the B/RLoD any day... Why?? Well the psu can be swapped in 15 min (well once they are available separately if they are not already) I should know my 360 one died a month ago due to electrical surge... I went to the store got a new one for 30 bucks... BR drive can be changed too or fixed... Ms can change provider or now you can even go DD which I will do anyway.... A RRoD is a design issue way harder to fix... So all in all for this Gen I wouldn't be too worried by reports we have on xb one so far they seem pretty irrelevant to me... The ps4 on the other hand is more worrying... Do we know where it comes,from on the failing units???
hopefully both are fine and it's just launch hiccups... And nobody has to deal with a rrod remake fiasco...
now that said MS customer support is highly trained in the matter... Makes almost want you to have a failing one especially if like me you want to go DD this Gen...
