Do you have any evidence to back that up?  Seems to be going from strength to strength to me.

The last time a Metal Gear game for a home console sold better than 500k in Japan was in...2008.

That said, I truly want the next Metal Gear to sell well, it´s an amazing franchise, but I don´t see it matching those numbers on a brand new console, specially in Japan

I really hope i´m wrong.
