How is 3D World a bomb selling about 60% of the supply would mean that it met Nintendo's expectations also we have no digital sales, the game is pretty small and no WiiU owner should have trouble downloading it, so i'm guessing that it had a bigger opening week that Super Mario 64 DS Which makes the future look OK about a million or so life time what killed the game in Japan is most likely the second trailer which should that the game was not following 3D Land all the way which made it less linear and japanese gamers simply prefer linear mario game and that's why 3D Land is the best selling 3D Mario and why Super Mario Bros. 2 surpassed 3D Land
edit: 3D World's shipment is between 180000 and 214000 units so good first week

Oh lawd. I didn't think anyone would try to defend it, let alone call it a good first week.

I did say that it looks to have OK lifetime sales
however having a shipment of 180K or so and selling 101K is good not to mention digital sales
if it has digital sales of 30K this week (doubtful) then it'll havea better first week than 64DS which sold over 1 million life time so this is why i said that it was a good first week
Remember wether being good or not is relevant to Nintendo if they only shipped 180K then i'm pretty sure that 101K first week is satisfying for them but we'll see how it holds up for the rest of the year

Shipment is based on consumer demand and interest...
It's not like Nintendo forces copies at retailers. Retailers have to buy the copies from Nintendo and if they don't feel the interest from consumers then they won't order a lot of them.
And so shipment is only so telling.
