You know what I mean.
I wonder if you are. I wonder, if you come to VGChartz to bash the 360 over and over, laughing at it, saying how Ps3 is way better, but then you sign off and secretly love the console. You come and say how Gran Turismo is far more beautiful than Forza, but you can't wait to go play Project Gotham Racing. You say XBLA games are not worth anyone's time and that they suck compared to AAA retail exclusives, but you spent hours and hours with Shadow Complex. You mock Halo 4, because it only got 87 on metacritic, but when no one's watching you, you go and beat it for the seventh time.
Or, you can also go screaming from thread to thread that Gears of War is an astonishing game and those crappy "interactive movies" of the ps3 just suck at games, only to go and turn on your so much loved console, to cry like a baby when you beat Heavy Rain (and everyone died because you didn't know how to play). You send PMs to others saying how The Last of Us wasn't really that good, that you got to the 81% of the game and left it because, honestly, it bored you. But then, you log it into the online after having completed New Game +++ because you need to keep playing it, in a different PSN account, of course, so no suspicion is cast upon you. You say graphics don't matter, people who enjoy graphics over gameplay are not harcore gamers, only to keep staring at that amazing desert sequence in Uncharted 3.
Of course, let's not forget that small, happy console with that weird remote control. How was it called? Ah, yes, the "wii". That casual console for casual people. "Ugh!" you cry in every thread. "That console is a disgrace to gaming, full of shovelware. Not for hardcore people." Of course, you have to point out the benefits of HD. But then, you hope for your sake no one's looking, because damn you LOVE punching the air using the wiimote to defeat all those assholes in Punch-Out! Wii Sports? Sure, you give it 0/10 in VGChartz. But it's actually a 17'5/10 in satisfaction when you play it. Of course, that, you'd never tell. You can't ruin your "hardcore gamer" reputation.
So...are you a secretly lover?
