It seems to me like there's no love for Mad Max out there. Whenever I see people list their most anticipated games of 2014, nobody lists Mad Max. Admittedly there are alot of really good games coming out in 2014, but still, I would have thought that more people would care more about a game based on a fairly popular movie franchise and developed by a proven developer, Avalanche Studios (the developers of Just Cause 1 and 2). Maybe people have simply forgotten about the game since E3, afterall, it's only been shown a few times since then and hasn't had a ton of media coverage. Or maybe they were dissapointed by the initial unveiling of the game at E3. Well, here's what we've learned about Mad Max since E3, in case you didn't already know:

In-game footage trailer

Pre-Alpha Gameplay (yes, the animations are rough, but this is an early build of the game)

Info

-Mad Max is coming to PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4. The given release window in trailers is 2014, and an apparent picture of the CEO of Avalanche's LinkedIn profile suggests an April 2014 release date.

-Mel Gibson will not be reprising the role of Max (not suprising given his rise to popularity since the Mad Max movies and how expensive he'd likely cost, as well as the stigma associated with his name in recent years)

-Max will not have an American accent as was shown in the early build footage at E3, he will have an Australian accent in the final version.

-Early in the game Max loses his vehicle, the Interceptor/Pursuit Special, and is stranded in the wasteland. He encounters a mechanic named Chumbucket, who becomes his companion, and spends the game trying to find the Interceptor.

-Chum works with Max to improve the Magnum Opus (Max's new vehicle) and rides along with Max to provide assistance in combat. The player can also get strategic information on how best to approach situations from Chum.

-Gameplay will primarily feature vehicular combat, from hanging out of side windows to fire weapons, to stopping the car and climbing out of the back window to use larger weapons such as sniper rifles. There are also third-person on-foot sections. Ammo is scarse, so melee is generally the smarter way to appoach on-foot combat. Players can appoach situations in different ways, such as silently dealing with enemies or aggressively attacking them.

-The game features an in-depth customization system for vehicles, and there are plans to add customization for Max as well. The Magnum Opus can be upgraded at Max's garage with engines, chassis, wheels, tires (different tires do better on different in-game surfaces), paint jobs, and other upgrades, and the weight and attributes of the car will be updated accordingly. There is also a crafting system to make weapons and tools. Some examples of weapon crafting and car customization include the thunderstick, an explosive weapon that can be lanced into enemy chests with a fuse time before they blow apart, and the ability to upgrade the Magnum Opus with both a V12 engine and a ram, giving players the speed needed to easily ram and destroy enemy vehicles.

-The game world is called the Great White, it's a dried up seabed from before the apocalypse. Since then, man-made structures have been built, now in various states of decay, and there are old ship-wrecks around the wasteland. No world size has been given as of yet, but Avalanche has hinted that it was large enough to need to design various distinct areas with discernible landmarks so that players don't get lost, and given Avalanche's past designing huge worlds in Just Cause, the world is likely fairly large.

-There is no multiplayer component, Avalanche decided to instead concentrate all of their effort on the singleplayer.

Thank god this happend =)

Will look at it but Im not sure the game looks that good or interesting
