DK, Mario Kart and Smash in less than four months almost seems like too much, but perhaps Nintendo thinks this is the best way of wresting some momentum back from the PS4 and XB1, that is before they have time to properly establish their libraries.

If those three titles are all out before E3,  it makes you wonder what they have planned for the latter half of the year.

Bayo2, Yarn Yoshi, SMT X FE, X, Im sure im missing a few

None of which are remotely big hitters. They need at least one BIG title with those, otherwise Smash is best saved for the holiday.

Nintendo could be preparing Zelda for a holiday 2014 release. It's unusual for a console Zelda game to take more than three years to develop.

Didn't SS take far longer?

It did. However, Nintendo spent two years in the R&D phase, and Skyward Sword actually began full production after Spirit Tracks came out in 2009.

With ALBW and (especially) WWHD's development farmed out to other dev teams, I think late 2014 is completely doable.

Keep in mind they didn't have to worry about HD with Skyward Sword though. And if the rumors are true that this is supposed to be Nintendo's biggest, most ambitious project ever in it's history, then 2014 might be pushing it.

Didn't Aonuma mention one time that work on Zelda U actually began near the end of Skyward Sword's development? I might be wrong but didn't it start in late 2010/early 2011?
