It;s not bad for COD to sell well but to me at least its a clear indicator that the "PS4 has won this Gen" crowd is getting way too far ahead of themselves. If the Ghosts and BF4 sales numbers are any indicator of where things are going (all systems combined) then it is going to take a whole lot more then a bunch of FPS games and half assed sequels to sell 80+ million units. Nintendo learned this the hard way already with NSMBU, and I have a feeling that Sony and Microsoft in about 6 months will be wondering why their sales have plopped, while the Wii U is selling like crazy.

So you say PS4/XB1 wont sell well with nothing but sequels, yet you expect the Wii U to sell like crazy with nothing but sequels aswell lol? Also, PS4 wont need to sell 80 million to win this gen, sadly.

Different type of Sequels though.  What I really mean are these franchises that keep pumping games out so fast that no one cares anymore.   Gears of War is a great example. 1st and 2nd sold amazing.  3rd went down a little.  4th bombed.   If they only made 1 and 2 and waited until X1 to do 3 then it would be system seller but now its a dead franchise.    Same with Halo, expect 4 has great looking sales because you can buy it brand new for 15 - 20 bucks already. Dead Space for EA is another that comes to mind.  Mario Kart and Smash Bros have had 6 year gaps and the new games are completly upgraded and will feel fresh.   Its the same reason why GTA V sold 26 million already...you have to wait to create demand or else no one cares anymore.

I suppose that's true, though right now Ass Creed, CoD, Battlefield, Madden, etc. are still selling well enough, so I don't think it's gonna mean anything for Wii U beating them out.
