Games load quicker on Xbone based on that test by extremetech

Far too early to tell. Remember how the 360 caned the PS3 in the early years only for it to make a stunning comeback. MS could iron out the kinks and release some better development tools. The cynic in me says game over as far as games go in Sonys favour not least because it has better tech but let's not forget the PS2 was incredibly successful and yet was most likely probably the weakest of the consoles.

That's fair, but a comeback for XB1 doesn't seem very likely because

- They have similar hardware, PS4 is just better (dedicated arm processor, extra dedicated 256 MB RAM, slimmer and less ambitious unified OS, no virtual machines whatsoever. In addition, bluray is Sony's Forte).

- Last gen, two machines were vastly different. PS3 had only 1 generally programmable core (SPEs were pretty useless for non-gaming). X360 had 3 of those cores in addition to more flexible unified memory, so it was basically always superior in non-gaming activities.

Circumstances are very different this time around
