How can you be impressed with this shot?  Look at the detail drop off because of the fog.

Fog is a real thing lol. It's evening and raining, and Seattle in real life has fog..The game isn;t always foggy, you are nitpicking.

It's very foggy in Playstation 4 games.  Show me some shots in Second Son which have good lod and no fog.

Just watch the first e3 trailer with ingame gameolay(especially the moment when he jumps high in the air where you can take a look at the entire city)= no fog.Since then half a year has passed.I'm pretty sure they haven't just coded fog in the meantime.Take a look at infamous2-looks lot better than gta5 but 0 fog,therefore i'm pretty sure the chance that they use fog for atmosphere and not just to safe performance is 80%.

I'm also not impressed by th foggy harbour pic,but hey:it is a harbour and there is fog.

Even in the desert  like dubai you will see fog(eg last f1 race)in real life close to the sea.
