Anyway, I generally dont rely on Game Review websites. So, to anwser the question the thread was asking, No. I am just not so interested in ANY of them that are available at the moment.

What, then, do you rely on? Do you buy games based on licenses? Do you only buy Mario games because you think all Mario games will be good (generally they are)? Do you not try new IPs? Do you try all games to decide for yourself? That would certainly be an impressive feat.

The fact of this whole debate is that game reviews are quite useful in determining how good a game is. If you actually read the reviews (*gasp*) you can get a feel for why they rated the game a certain way and can then decide for yourself whether you agree with the assessment.


What I meant to say is I dont rely on the scores given. I rely on what they say about the game. If it says that the frame rate is bad, or that the graphics are not great, then they may score it low. However, if the overall story or gameplay is good, I can consider picking it up. The sites may say the same things about the game, but one will rate it lower than the other. That is, of course, because of how much of the score goes in to a certain element of the game.

As for Mario games. Yeah, I pick those up blindly, because Miyamoto has not let me down yet. Same for Zelda.


Miyamoto doesn't make all Mario games, but you might not have guessed that I didn't just mean the main games.  Of course, I don't like all of those anyway, but that's just my opinion.

I just find it hard to believe that as a gamer you aren't interested in any PSP or PS3 game.  As a gamer myself, I think there are at least 5 games on every console ever released I'd want to play.  It might be a struggle on something like the Jaguar, but perhaps besides that one, I don't know.   I'll probably never get a 360 but there are certainly games on it I'd enjoy playing that are exclusive.

I just don't understand how a fan of videogames can say they wouldn't want to play ANY (your emphasis) game on a current system.  Very strange to me.
