Third party devs are a big part of the blame. When they make a good game (Zack and Wiki, MoH, Trauma Center: NB, etc.) THE DONT MARKET IT!!!! Or they will advertise the hell out of it but they will rush the game like Red Steel.

Third party devs HAVE to invest in their games. The publishers have to put good dev teams together and then market the game. People say there arent any hardcores on wii or there are not enough of them. Well I say that is the biggest BS I have ever heard. The Wii sells out faster than hell and you have to wait in lines to do that. Non gamers generally wont do that. They will not sit at your local EB games. Look at the games that did sell well. They are mostly hardcore. The games that were developed right and marketed correctly sold an easy million.

DEAL WITH IT most of the audience on Wii is still hardcore. Its just there are more non gamers on wii than other consoles.

You dont see alot of third party devs doing this because they are so F###### lazy with Wii.

Conversely there is a bad trend with Nintendo fans. They are so stupid sometimes. All they will buy this year is SSBB, MK Wii, and the next big multiplat game that is done correctly on Wii (GHIII). These foolish fanboys will ignore Bully, Okami, de Blob, Pikmin 3, NMH, HotD 2 and 3 and so many more. I would nott be surprised to find the ultra informed Nintendo fan more inclined to buy 5 copies of SSBB rather than try the few good third party games.

THIS is a 2 way deal people. Its a give and take. We need to show companies we are not just going to buy the next big Zelda and the companies need to show us they wont just give us a crappy PS2 port.
