Yeah, I felt the same.
Just a few days ago I played Donkey Kong Country Returns on Wii and Call of Duty Ghosts on Wii U on the same day; DKCR actually looked better to me. XD
Earlier this year when me and a group of friends were playing first Black Ops II on Wii U, then Metroid Prime, many of them actually thought Prime looked better.

it looks like crap by todays standard, heck find me a gameplay pic where it looks nice, it looks like crap. fps need tech to look great.
