As many of you may remember, Sony showed a video at E3 '05 that they believed to show off what the PS3 was capable of.  Of course, we know the final games didn't quite live up to what they showed.  Some were close, others not so much.  The above video demostrates those differences.  A quick note, though.  While the vid says Sony promised that what they showed at E3 was ingame, Sony never actually stated that at E3.  Only that this is what players had to look forward to.

Now, I remember at the time Sony got plenty of flack, from gaming sites and fans of opposing systems, about the differences.  In fact, some still bring it up when dissing Sony or the PS3.  Well, it seems Sony learned their lesson from this, and decided to make sure ALL of the footage they showed at E3 '13 for the PS4, whether a tech demo or gameplay, was actually running on a dev kit.  Many games since E3 actually received graphical upgrades before they were released.  This brings us to MS...

Many of the games MS showed at E3 '13 have actually recieved downgrades, Forza 5 being the most notable of late.  These downgrades include resolution drops, framerate drops, texture quality drops, and/or changes in the quality of lighting.  I have heard some say this is no different to what Sony did, which I guess means they think it's no big deal.  However, they are completely wrong.  MS decided to go a step further in the deception.  They actually took the time, effort, and money to create PLAYABLE DEMOS of their games using HW that was quite a bit better than their own.  This is a whole level above target renders and even bullshots.  This is purposely misleading gamers with demos they can actually play, which would make them think they, or any one else, would be crazy to even question whether the Xbox One could actually handle the game or not.

Now, I would like to know, will the gaming media make a big deal about this, like they did the PS3 target renders?  Or will they remain quiet and help push this under the rug?  So far, I haven't heard much, if anything, from them.  And really only from a few non-Xbox fans since post launch.  What are your thoughts?  Is this a big deal?  Or should we ignore it, possibly making it the norm?
