And? It's a different model of the Vita. Should the 2DS not count towards 3DS sales? Even then, IIRC Vita TV only did 40k, meaning 120k for Vita. Still good numbers. What does the Vita having lower demand than the 3DS have to do with anything? Either the Vita must be wanted just as much as the 3DS or nobody wants it? That's a false dichotomy if I've ever seen one. I suppose nobody wanted the PSP either, despite selling 80m units, because it had low demand compared to the DS, right? And he specifically talked about this bundle coming to EU, so why would you assume he was just talking about the U.S.? |
I'm not saying that the Vita T.V. sales don't matter. I'm saying that it doesn't necessarily show demand for the handheld - they serve different purposes. Aside from the name and being able to play games, they're completely different products. The same can't be said of the 2ds and 3ds or their sucess in Japan where Nintendo has a comfortable lead. The gap between the PSP and DS and the Vita and 3ds is not at all the same. At least with the PSP you could say it was a sucess - with the Vita it's just another sign of failure.
And sorry, I should've put that I was specifically talking about U.S. Yes it sold 160k, but only 14k in the U.S. It's my bad for misreading the first post; I thought he was asking if the bundle were to be the only one available on black friday in the U.S., would it sell? And that the question about the bundle releasing in Europe was a seperate one.
