Well. No arguments from me there about GDDR5 > DDR3 with GPU's.
But, the Geforce 640 isn't really meant for gaming anyway, so the Ram type is really a non-issue in the end.

Heck, I sold my old 6950's that unlock into 6970's for $100 each, which is faster than the PS4's GPU.

For $10 more dollars he could have gotten this from newegg or if he looked hard enough he would have got it for $100 new.

I guess your right about the rest though.
