I think it is mainly the novelty of using voice controls. Sure it has a view extras like the fantasy sports (Which I believe it only for ESPN fantasy football) but for the most part is voice controls.

 

I also find it very odd that you can pause, rewind and/or fastforward live TV but can't record like a DVR. That should definitely be a feature.

I don't own a DVR box, so I think it would be cool.

They're working on that aren't they? 

Cable providers probably wouldn't be too happy if they added that feature. TBH, I'm surprised it even supports pausing and rewinding.
