As a BD owner and High def nut....
Until the above happens Blu ray will remain a niche product. So I guess it will be 2+3 years before BD even starts to put a dent in DVD to become mainstream home media product. I really love the format and hope that BDA is playing their cards right.
To a consumer it smells like greed from the CE's and studios wanting to prolong the glory days of DVD which didn't last as long as they would have liked.
