Actually I don't think it's illegal to own an aircraft carrier in any country.

They're just so expensive nobody would.  I mean only like 15 nations own Aircraft Carriers.

I mean an aircraft carrier is nothing more then a boat with an airstrip on it.

I believe the UK have auctioned off a number of aircraft carriers to the higehst bidder, accepting bids from both public and private buyers.

 

Chinese companies buy them to make theme parks and casinos out of them.
