| Aerys said: So Ps Vita is saved ? |
For quite some month (a year ?) the Ps Vita never really was in danger. 6 to 8 millions sold worldwide is a decent situation. And she did sold with only one good/big/maistream exclusive titles : Gravity Rush. It's not alike ps2, nor Psp situation but it is decent.
And I will explain you why, (and all Vita pessimist should read my explanation, because I'm really tired of you all).
The vita has been sold since his debut for a price between 250$ and 200$. The production price is estimated at 140~160$.
They told they were selling it at loss, but it's a common move from the biggest company to not cut the price too quickly if the demand is meh. You really think 70~110 are going to taxes and advertising ? Come on.
Nop they're at least making 20$ per Vita. I can insure it to you. Plus, them reproducing the PS3 mistake and selling at loss is impossible. Even if they don't make profit over vita, look at the overpriced memory card and other accessories...
In the very worst scenario, if Vita is not profitable, the cost are all covered. In other words, vita is at least something that cost them 0 financial wise. No reason to go bat shit happy, but no reason to cancel it either. It is a service sold to consumer, no more, no less.
And Yes, by today, you can say that the vita is going to do way way way better than before.
