Cows just stand around and eat hay and give milk, its hard to get attached to a cow.

Dogs on the other hand are loyal, obediant, when you come home from work/school they wag their tail and greet you, its so easy to love dogs and get attached. Farm animals are totally different, they are nothing like dogs.

Also pigs and cows have a ton of meat, it would take a few dogs to feed one person, one cow could feed many people.

That's just your opinion though, it's just as possible to get attached to a cow, see India for example, where cows are sacred.

Also: pigs are MUCH smarter than dogs, if that's supposed to make the difference for you.
