| STRYKIE said: Ehhhh... I have mixed feelings about this. Remember how the 20GB PS3 (if anyone here even remembers the 20GB PS3, ironically, lol) ended up fading into obscurity and the 60GB PS3 took all the limelight? Which resulted in more cons than pros for Sony. I feel like the standalone PS4 might suffer the same fate and this "ultimate bundle" will be lauded and hammed up for it's pricepoint. On the flipside, it's not like MS are offering an SKU $200 cheaper this time around. So who knows... I just would've thought Sony want to stay well away from this territory at all costs after what happened to the PS3 in it's first year. |
That has to be the worst analogy I have ever seen. Comparing a 20GB gimped version of PS3 with a 500GB PS4 that has all the features regardless if it’s bundled with a Vita or not. All it will do is provide the consumer with options of either console gaming by itself or coupled with handheld gaming/remote play at an extra cost. You pick one gimped sku to support your argument and disregard all the sku’s that have been supported this gen from both MS and Sony. Clearly, there is a business model that works for tiered bundle sku`s without gimping the feature set. That’s why the 20GB PS3 fell into obscurity, it didn’t even have wi fi.
