I don't get this "demographic" nonsense. It's the games that make the demographic, not the console. If a console has plenty of games for a certain demographic, then people of that demographic will buy it. The only people who can be blamed for the Wii's demographic are those developers who are scared to put their titles on it for fear of the demographic.
I'm not saying the Wii's demographic is skewed against violent games, but if GTAIV was put on the Wii as well you could bet any money that there would be a massive demographic of GTA fans owning Wiis and wanting more of those types of games to play.
