While it may sound like a conspiracy to some people, I bet this is the EXACT reason. I mean why else would it not be there? EVERY device made with a HDD or flash storage since at least the 90's has been able to show you how much space you have left. And when this info is finally revealed, I imagine some people are going to be ticked off.
