Define software company. Because Microsoft has made multiple pieces of hardware, including all of the Xbox iterations, all of the Zune iterations, all of the Surface iterations, lots of add-ons such as mouses, keyboards, etc. Now that Microsoft owns the phone division of Nokia, you could argue that Nokia phones are in their lineup as well.
I think they have proven quite well through past releases that they are more than capable of releasing hardware alongside software.
Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.
