Which is the case for all launch systems, do ANY of the games actually steal the show? All of the top games are multiplats, with Resogun, think Super Stardust Delta, which also got low to mid 80's meta on the Vita. Personally I would love to see more games like this, and Nano Assault Neo on the Wii U, it's an underappreciated genre that could be done remarkably well if done right, with enough upgrades, story, and challenge.
I personally have enjoyed Warframe quite a bit, while the controls take a bit to get used to, and you can also play it on PC, it is definatly a nice time sink especially when you have 3 friends, not PUG's that want to rush everything.
They always put a dozen multiplats, a couple of exclusives(Killzone is in last place of the three shooters, Knack sold 100k first week which is really good sales, and for a 57 Metacritic rating, the game is still a very fun one that will get some attention, 2 player local co-op play is also fun)
That's not saying, it's not worth checking out Battlefield 4, NBA 2K14, Assassin's Creed IV, Injustice Gods Among Us(If you don't own it already), FIFA, Madden, Need for Speed Rivals(Which will probably sell better on 8th gen besides 7th gen, but would've sold more if it came out in December, we'll see)
2014 is the year of the Wii U, 2015 is the year of the PS4/Xbox One.
