People are giving Sony kudos just for doing the bare minimum now? You are supposed to have your product replaced if it's defective.

 

And where is the proof of 1%? Even if true, doesn't it directly contradict the 0.4% figure Sony/people have been spreading around? So Sony admitted they are lying?

Up to 1% defective units from a million odd sold is to be expected from such a device. Call Sony directly to replace the defective unit immediately with expedited shipping of a new unit instead of though retail is imo fantastic customer service. There is no contradiction or lying?  Read the OP! As I said it makes you wonder what all the fuss is about?
