It just seems too coincidental to me that we skipped two years worth of niche localisations (aside from Zero Escape) and yet 2014 is filled to the brim with them in the aftermath of #JRPGVita and #makingthelist. Maybe it's nothing. Some of them do kinda make sense, like NISA picking up Neptunia for example. But Aksys picking up Holy Sorcery Story? Atlus picking up this? NISA picking up Demon Gaze? Feels like there's something else going on here. Again, not that I'm complaining. All the more games for me. |
It's certainly possible that this is partly Sony's doing, but I suspect that the whole #jrpgvita thing was aimed more at the slightly bigger publishers, trying to get the like of Bamco and SE on vita and in the west. Personally, I think they've just been attracted by how well that sort of software seems to do on vita, it's a natural haven where they get maximum exposure to a hardcore base without being overshadowed by other games. Fingers crossed the next announcement is Senran Kagura, for some reason I really want to see what it's like.
Also how are you getting on with DW:N? I got seriously addicted over Christmas when I first got it, hopefully they improve on it further for the vita versions of WO3U, DW8XL and SW2HD
