If I paid 60 dollars for it; I'd rather it be 10 hours. But that's only if I had to choose. I wouldn't buy a bad game on purpose.

Flawed   logic is flawed!

Why penalize youself after you already "lost" money?
If its mediocre okay but if its really bad???

Bad as in a game in which you are a clock.

The gamplay is like this: The universe is at stake when the timeflow stops everything is destroyed. So you rotate your analog stick clockwise for 24h (because you are the "second hand").
It has 3 difficulties.
Easy is only the second hand.
Medium is second hand and minute hand rotate each using a different analog stick.
Hard is second, minute, and hour hand. You have to rotate your arms (motion controls) or your head (kinect exclusive)
Its basically a 1 level 24h marathon game.
Would you really play it?  (I have to patent that its the worst game idea ever)

Thinking "I put so much effort into THIS" or "I already payed so much money for it"  and therefore you keep going  is a bad idea. Even devs know it thats why they make MMORPGs and fees.

They want people to feel the need to keep going otherwhise they would lose against their ego/feel they cheated themselves.

Same happens with overly defensive people.  (its not possible that purchase XY was a bad idea. I have to convince myself that it was good and I have to defend it against everyone who says something bad about it no matter what) Nobody likes to be wrong :)
