The X1 just has massively more demand than the "internet" thinks.

But how far are YOU off?Or what do you mean by massively?Is there enough demand to destroy the PS4 comparing Day1 NA with Day1 NA?

And to be honest - We can't compare that at all.
The PS4 launched only in NA and broke records where it could aka all of them with a Day1.
I and probably you and some others here wouldn't have thought it would sell that much anywhere close.I thought it would sell 2/3 of the million it did cause i compared it to the 360 numbers the USA alone at the end of the Gen had and their brand loyality.
PS4 made an insane impact with its marketing over the past months since it reveal.
We can't know how much Microsoft has available cause they have to sell in 13(?) Markets instead of only NA directly on Day1.
Demand in the USA and UK is probably a lot higher than in other launch countries but i don't think it is possible for the One to outdo the Day1 PS4 Numbers if you compare it just NA with NA and so on when numbers are available for every country....Together with the UK 1 Million is possible but this is pretty much unfair.
You have to think NA is the weakest market of the PS4 while Europe is its strongest.
I hope Sony and Microsoft  are releasing Day1 Numbers for all areas when they have launched everywhere.Im pretty sure if we all add them up Sony will be 3:1 ahead worldwide.Mainland Europe is completely lost for Microsoft.We are not even talking about Japan.
If Microsoft isn't doing as strong as the PS4 in NA directly at start they won't catch up anymore.
Im pretty sure you think the world has MUCH more demand than it actually is.

Same for Germany probably though its obviously a lot bigger place.

Gamestop tried to sell me today a One while i tried to trade in my Fifa14 PS3 > PS4 - They are pretty desperate
Mediamarkt,Saturn,Gamestop as the bigger shops here are all selling Day1 Xbox Ones a few day for release while they laugh at you if you want a PS4 before next year.Libro,Müller and a few other small shops send out these annoying fliers every day with Day1 guarantee for Xbox One and i know a few persons working in the stores i mentionend above.They are nowhere near sold out with the One.On the other side they can't cover demand for the PS4...Im glad i know them cause i didn't PreOrder and they can hide 2 PS4s for me xD

This will be a pretty bad awakening if you think the One can win this battle.
NA+UK is not enough when the competitor is surprisingly for everyone selling well there while you have Mainland Europe and of course every other place against you.
