If the failure rate is only 0.04% that won't be a big deal once the market is flooded with consoles, but right now... It kindof sucks. Good luck to Sony in reducing the failure rate to an even lower % in the next batch. Hopefully they will be better off for the European launch! The only thing this has to go on at the moment is the few vocal websites/media that have stated they have dead consoles(some like Kotaku forced to retract it after their console was defected by user error) and the supposed 600+ 1/5 user review scores on Amazon(which is known for being shilled).

Even if every single one of these reports were legitimate, it would be out of 1M sold + 4000 Given away at TacoBell + Review models.

Thats only in the ball park of 0.06% (600 systems) of 1Million+ possible systems.

And unfortunately 600 voices on the Internet can be a big voice.

But it is important for these people to be vocal. It holds the electronics companies to a higher standard and will force them to try and have even smaller failure rates. And that is good for us consumers.

I just wish the fanboys would stay out of the situation and not sqew the numbers one way or the other. Having the PS4, XBO and Wii U all succeed is good for the gamers. The competetion forces all of them to improve and give us a better experience.
