The thing that I find the strangest about this is that the issues with the PS4 are vastly less common than the 360's issues and yet we are considering them the same?

Honestly the most reliable bit of info we have for the issues comes from the VGchartz thread and right now that is reading just over or under 3%. So I'll be a little pessimistic and say that the real failure rate for the PS4 is 5%. That means 50,000 dead PS4, which is crappy. But nothing compared to the 50%+ rate the 360's were dropping at. Actually, both the 360 and PS3 had higher than a 5% failure rate in 2012.
