An 8.5 for gameplay means the game is fundamentally good. A game with 5.5 across the board will have a the same review score as Into the Nexus but it would be a lesser game than Into the Nexus, IMO. I'll add to to the fact that the VGC review seems to be an outlier compared to metacritic where the score is a solid 7.5. But I reckon the VGC score would have been about there if the bugs and glitches weren't there. I am sad this game isn't a fully fledged game but I'm glad we have it. |
Nobody should ever trust one reviewer, whoever he is and however much faith he has in that person, that would be the definition of blind sheep. So this is just one guys opinion you disagree with at the end of the day.
If the meta is 75 that's a good overview of the game, which is all good metacritic is for I might add, to tell you if a game is either massively broken/terrible (sub 50) or incredible 95+.
everything in between is entirely down to your own preferences.
