Wow someone got upset by the truth and wants to a jerk about it.... "We are on a videogames website discussing consoles, this has been the biggest launch for consoles in history, context, get some." "Nobody knows what the true failure rate is, and i never claimed to know" Really now? I guess you have some memory issues cause you just claimed this in your post "Failure rates are actually normal"
So if we dont know them, how can you claim they are normal?
Would love to discuss this but it would be like talking about PCs with a caveman. All you seem to be able to do is blindly defend while trying to belittle people for not being as easy to persuade as you are. What I get from your post is you will do anything or say anything to defend them even if it defies common sense to do so. Yes Sony was only thinking of their consumers when they hid the hack. I am sure they were also thinking of consumers when they charged them 150 to fix the inferior drives they put in the PS2 as well. I wonder what you are going to backtrack on next. You're already claiming you dont know the failure rate after proclaiming to know them. You are saying Sony knows the failure rate, yet in your next response say things like that take weeks to figure out in relation to the hack. Which is it again? Take some time to think it over and maybe stick to one story then post it. Try not to come off as a jerk and I wont point out all your weak flaws next time. Kbye thanks for playing |
Failure rates are normal, calculating units shipped with low and high estimates based on frequency of reports or proportional statistics gives you any value between 0.5% and 8%, these are in keeping with general purpose home electronics EFR figures.
We do not know the EXACT failure rate, but that does not mean we are unable to make rough estimates based on the information we do have, but I digress we are on VGchartz, where exact sales figures are not precisely known yet the numbers are still given.
I never claimed Sony knows exact failure rates.
What does the topic of failure rate have to do with investigating the extent of a network breach? Could you be clutching at any more straws?
The biggest golden nugget of your post is to call what i said "pointless dribble just to throw an insult", then you go on to make the following comments of your own.
