They're talking about launch month, for sure. Like for WiiU it is November, even though it launched by the end of the month.

well first of all this seems to be usa numbers only. and according to vgc numbers Wii sold 600k in its first month (unless this graph decided that a week ending 2nd Dec isnt a nov week). PS3 sold 280K in the same time period as well. 

3ds also sold 350k first week (and launch month) in the usa as well. but this graph has it at 400k. it just seems really odd this graph
