Also, hopefully people will do some research first before freaking out and calling customer service.  My issue was the misaligned piece of metal in the HDMI port as reported by Kotaku.  A quick 5-second fix and my PS4 is now working fine.  As with any piece of electronic, sometimes you think it's broken but it's really just a loose screw or cable that you can easily fix yourself.  I'm guessing one of the factories received a batch of poorly made HDMI ports that had misaligned pins/metal flap.
