I liked the original one better, although neither was really good IMO.
They really did a good job at making the infected scary btw. I felt a strong urge to run away screaming just from watching the bit where he opens the door and walks to the middle of them, even though they aren't exactly the most dangerous creatures I've ever seen in a movie/game.
