Well done. The amputee part refers to the fact that in order to avoid blood dropping from their brain to their legs as a consequence of intense g-force, the entirety of the Star Fox team had their legs amputated and replaced with metallic prostheses (as you can see here and here). Which is... rather macabre, and surprisingly bad-ass for someone like Slippy.

Well, so much for today's lesson in completely useless video game trivia, everybody. For tomorrow's class, all of you will play at least ten hours of Dwarf Fortress.
