Admittedly, the amputee thing is just a little-known factlet that I threw in there to throw people off. :P What you want to focus on is the rest of it.

I guess I should specify that the guy in contact with them doesn't sound like a soda because of his voice (how would that even make sense?), but because he has a name that resembles a certain sbrand of soft drink.
